Every Labiarge gown is made to order — cut, fitted, and finished by hand in our atelier. Because each piece is created for one wearer, it does not leave us until it is complete. The notes below set out how your gown travels to you, and how we coordinate that journey for brides near and far.
Made to order: production comes first
When you place an order, your gown enters the atelier rather than a warehouse. Pattern-making, construction, fittings, and final hand-finishing all happen before anything ships. We ask you to plan around completion, not dispatch.
As a general guide, allow sixteen to twenty weeks from confirmation to a finished gown, depending on the design and the number of fittings required. Pieces with extensive hand embellishment may take longer. We confirm a timeline in writing at your consultation and hold a comfortable margin before your wedding date.
We ship only once a gown is finished, pressed, and approved. You will know your dispatch date well in advance; nothing leaves the atelier unannounced.
How your order travels
Bridal pieces are handled with the same care they were made with.
- Fully insured. Every shipment is insured for its full value, door to door.
- Signature required. Delivery is made into your hands, or those of someone you nominate — never left unattended.
- White-glove handling. Gowns travel boxed and garment-protected, structured to keep fabric and embellishment undisturbed in transit.
- Discreet packaging. Boxes are unbranded on the exterior, with the Labiarge presentation inside.
Smaller pieces — veils, accessories, and ready items — are protected to the same standard, scaled to the order.
Estimated transit windows
The windows below are typical transit times once a finished order has been dispatched. They are in addition to atelier production time, not part of it.
- Turkey (domestic): 1–3 business days, fully insured and tracked.
- European Union: 3–6 business days by express courier.
- United Kingdom & rest of Europe: 4–7 business days.
- North America: 5–8 business days.
- Worldwide (other regions): 7–12 business days.
Transit times are estimates and may vary with customs clearance, remote destinations, and seasonal demand. Where a wedding date is close, we will discuss expedited options with you directly.
Customs, duties & taxes
Orders within Turkey are quoted with all applicable taxes included.
For shipments to the European Union and the rest of the world, prices are shown excluding import duties and taxes. These charges are set by the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient, payable on or before delivery. We declare every shipment accurately and in full; we cannot mark a gown as a gift or understate its value.
If you would like an estimate of likely duties for your country before you commit, our team is glad to help you plan.
Tracking & communication
You are kept informed at each stage. We will tell you when your gown is finished, when it is collected by the courier, and how to track it in transit. A named contact at the atelier remains available to you from order to arrival, and we confirm safe receipt with you afterwards.
Collection in the atelier
If you prefer, your finished gown can be collected in person at our Istanbul or Paris atelier, by appointment. Many brides choose to take final delivery in the room where the dress was made — a last fitting, a pressing, and a quiet handover. There is no shipping charge for in-atelier collection.
For brides outside Turkey
Distance need not stand between you and a hand-fitted gown. For brides who cannot attend every fitting in person, we coordinate a path that protects both the fit and your time.
- Where possible, we group fittings to reduce the number of visits, often aligning them with travel you are already planning.
- Between visits, we work from precise measurements and guided remote fittings, with detailed instructions and reference images.
- Where a final adjustment is needed close to the date, we will advise on trusted local options or arrange a finishing fitting around your schedule.
We plan this with you at the consultation, so the timeline, the fittings, and the final delivery are settled long before your wedding.
Returns on made-to-order pieces
Because each piece is created to your measurements and specifications, made-to-order and bespoke pieces are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. This is the nature of couture: the dress is yours alone from the first cut. Should anything arrive other than as agreed, contact us immediately and we will put it right. Full terms are set out in our policies, linked in the footer.
